Bea

Here is the start of Bea. New customers and the eagle eyed amongst you might notice that I've been a bit slower of late with my work and that I've given my waiting commissions large amounts of time to work on them. This is because unfortunately my dad has been taken really ill and so I need to make sure I can drop things if I need to get back to Devon in a hurry. He has been ill for many years and we had prepared ourselves for this day but it's still been quite a shock seeing him so ill and we're praying that he won't have to suffer for too much longer, hence keeping my time table as flexible as possible. And I don't want those of you who have deadlines to worry, I will get the paintings done in time, hence my time allocations for each.

Bea

Here is the first stage of Bea, that really attractive stage where I've put down the background and then blocked in so the canvas isn't showing through. I'm sure I could make it look a lot prettier by putting a thicker colour down but I like to be able to see my drawing underneath so I know I'm definitely putting things in the right place.

Paris - finished

Here is the finished version of Paris awaiting approval. The photo has come out lighter than the original, with the painting from my last posting being a truer colour reference.
