Here is the latest update for Tabu. I haven't been spending the hours I normally put into a painting due to the fact we're house hunting at the moment and I never realised how tiring and how much hard work it would be! It's the first time we've even been able to contemplate owning a house thanks to the prices dropping so it's very exciting and fingers crossed we'll find the perfect house for us with plenty of studio space! I can't wait to have a room I can dedicate to my painting and not be squashed in the corner of the tiny spare room as I am at the moment and having to move everything when people come to stay. And if I have a dedicated studio, I'm hoping to open it to the public occasionally so keep an eye out for further info.

Tabu
Here is Tabu after 3 days of painting. I took the painting to the Festival of Dressage over the weekend and he was greatly admired by all who visited my tradestand. He is a very very handsome boy! If you'd like to know how my tradestand went this weekend, please visit my showcase blog.

Thomas
This extremely handsome boy is Thomas. I've made a start on his portrait but I had to take a bit of time out from it last week to work on one of my own paintings. I find my eyes get very tired from concentrating on getting all the detail right when I work on commissions and every now and then I need to give them a rest, and with my original work not being quite so detailed and also not having to worry so much about getting everything spot on, I use these times to produce my own paintings. I took the photo for this painting at the 3 Counties Show when the hunt were taking their hounds around the main ring and I thought it would be a great opportunity to produce something slightly different to my normal paintings.
