Here is the latest update of the montage. Being my first ever montage I was unsure as to how it would turn out, how I would feel doing it etc but even I'm quite happy with it and I'm very difficult to please! I quite fancy doing more now....

Pearl & Tom

Here is the finished painting of Pearl and Tom, approved and off today, desperately hoping it makes it to the wedding in time!

Again, please excuse the lighting I've had to take the photo under! Tom is now finished and Pearl is coming along nicely. I don't get to paint cats very often, and being a crazy cat lady, it's always an absolute pleasure and treat to do so.

Here is the start I have made to the painting of Tom and Pearl. The shine on the background will be gone once the painting is varnished.

Here is the latest update for the montage of Coco and Dillon. I took it to the 3 Counties Show with me over the weekend with the hope of getting it finished but I learnt yet another first. At my very first ever tradestand I learnt that you spend most of your time talking to customers and not getting as much work done as you anticipated. Everyone loved the painting though and all I kept hearing was "look at the cute dog with the whip in it's mouth"! :-D I had a great weekend and will try to write up about it on my showcase blog when I get a chance. Meanwhile, this painting will be put on hold for a few days whilst I work on the painting of Tom and Pearl which is for a wedding this weekend. I seem to have given myself lots of challenges this year!!

Here is the main picture in the middle of the montage. I'm going to try and finish it tonight but due to lighting etc, thought I would take a photo whilst there was still daylight coming into the room!

This montage is on a canvas size 24x20" so I'll be taking photos of the individual parts from now on as it's so large!

A quick update from lunchtime today. I'm away from tomorrow until late Sunday at an art fair in Cambridge so I'm hoping to either finish this painting today or get it as far along as possible so fingers crossed!

Chief & Twiggy

Here are Chief and Twiggy. I had to take the photo using a flash so there is a bit of reflection on Twiggy's coat at the moment. I always think the beginning stages of my paintings are very messy and unattractive but hopefully I manage to pull it together quickly!
